Haycock Elementary (Falls Church, VA) added another impressive trophy to
its large collection by winning this tournament. Seventy-seven students
representing 22 schools played, each donating canned food which goes to
a local food bank. The U.S. Chess Center takes several hundred pounds of
food to Martha's Table every year.
Four students won all four of their games: Brenton
Elliott and Michael Freudberg of Haycock (rear), Avik Ganguli of Churchill
Road and Philip White of White Oaks (front).
